BSP Gov. Diokno delivers ‘Ulat ng BSP sa Bayan’

Central Bank Governor Benjamin E. Diokno underscored that digitalization has kept the gears of the economy running amid the pandemic in the “Ulat ng BSP sa Bayan” he delivered from the Philippine International Convention Center.

“Digitalization is among a few things that helped us continue with our daily lives during the pandemic,” Diokno said in his speech.

“The current crisis has given us an opportunity to think out of the box and be bold, as we work to protect the interests of the people we serve,” he added.

Themed, “Ibangon natin ang ekonomiya, i-digital mo na!,” the report was transmitted through an online platform and was also viewed by stakeholders via the social media page of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

“Ulat” also served as a venue for the launch of the BSP’s books: “BSP Unbound: Central Banking and the Covid-19 Pandemic” and “No One Left Behind: The Philippine Financial Inclusion Journey.”
